Me and my grandma

Me and my grandma

Oh, hi.

I’m Windy. My grandmother was Phyllis. She was amazing. I was fortunate enough to experience exactly 41-1/2 years of her love. We had a special bond, me and my grandma.

She passed away on June 10, 2014 and I miss her everyday.

She was a beautiful, kind and funny human being. She loved her family and cherished being a grandmother. I’m pretty sure she was born to be a grandmother, toting her grandchildren to the beach, spoiling us at Christmas and making her signature pineapple salad for holiday meals.

In tribute to the person she was, and the person she helped me to become, I spent 40 days blessing, surprising, thanking and encouraging others.  Between November 1 to December 10, 2014, I surprised others with random acts of kindness, in memory of Phyllis.

Sounds fun, right?

  1. Yes, it does sound fun! You are awesome. Grandma is smiling down from Heaven and hoping you don’t put any bad pictures of her. LOL
